Population
32,000, located in St. Clair County (population 164,000) along
Lake Huron and the St. Clair River, 57 miles north of Detroit
and 60 miles east of Flint. Across the Blue Water
Bridges lies our international neighbor, Sarnia, Ontario,
Canada.

Huron is the major Downtown Retail District in St. Clair
County with a population of more than 250,000 within a 30-mile
radius.

11 block Central Business District (CBD) that includes city,
county, state and federal offices, and more than 10,000
employees overall. Over 7,000 students attend St. Clair
County Community College, located Downtown.

CBD hosts retail and service businesses, waterfront dining and
entertainment facilities. A newly expanded Port Huron
Yacht Club, with an expanded marina basin, welcomes boating
visitors to our shores.

one mile of the Blue Water Bridges, the second busiest entry
point into the U.S. from Canada, providing a direct connection
to the Canadian market. Sarnia, Ontario, hosts a
population of 70,000, with Sarnia-Lambton County population of
129,000. The two spans of the Blue Water Bridges offer
efficient travel for more than 5 million commercial and
passenger vehicles annually.

communities. A bustling County Senior Center brings
seniors to Downtown for shopping, dining and entertainment.

Place - our community's convention/conference and
cultural center features a movie theatre, two ice surfaces and
is home to the Port Huron Beacons, professional UHL hockey
team, in addition to local amateur hockey teams.

access - the Black River dissects the Downtown with several
drawbridges and beautiful vistas of the St. Clair and Black
Rivers. City and private marinas are situated within the
Downtown area.

bustling Industrial Park - home to over 40 manufacturers of
plastics and automotive-related industries employing over

events and celebrations all year round. IceFest, Art on
the Avenue, Happy Apple Days, and Merry MainStreet are
examples of the events that provide free activities and
entertainment for the whole family. The annual Port
Huron to Mackinac Yacht Race activities in July bring more
than 100,000 visitors to Downtown.
